RTDBreaking News:

1/2/2012 Old Sandwich Road Race to support National Trails Day again in 2012 - National Trails Day is June 2nd, 2012

Starting in 2011 we established a membership with American Hiking.org to help them raise awareness and participation in hiking and dirt road running. We have a perfect alignment once again in 2012 as the OSRR June 2nd 5K dirt road race takes place on the same day as the National Trail Days event. Read more at http://www.americanhiking.org. Please support their mission of protecting trails and raising awareness for trail conservation and improvement all over the United States.

1/1/2012 The 2012 OSRR Race Committee Announces $3000 winner-take-all purse for the Half Marathon

Message from the OSRR Race Director - "All you speedsters out there might want to start training harder!".

That's because first place in the 2012 OSRR Half Marathon feature event will come with a $3000 purse. Top male and Female runners in the Half Marathon will receive $1500 respectively for beating everyone else in the feild. This decision was based on the fact that we have always planned for the OSRR to be a larger format and Nationally recognized road racing event.

"We doubled our participants in 2011 and drew runners from 37 US States in just our second year. Now we're doubling our efforts again in 2012 by putting our money where our mouth is. We want runners from near and far and we want the fastest runners. We aim to place Plymouth and the Old Sandwich Road Race on the National running scene map once again this year as we have our first two years." -- Race Director
